Odamız tarafından yürütülen ve Orta Karadeniz Kalkınma Ajansı (OKA) tarafından desteklenen “Kobi’ler Markalaşıyor, Zile Büyüyor” isimli projemiz 01.09.2020 tarihi itibariyle tamamlanmıştır.
POur project titled “SMEs are Branding, Zile is Growing”, carried out by our Chamber and supported by the Central Black Sea Development Agency (OKA), was completed as of 01.09.2020.
In the first phase of the project, “Corporate Identity Consultancy” activity was carried out. The demands of the companies were collected, and the requests and expectations of all the companies were determined. Based on these studies, the studies were continued and the brand/logo studies were decided. The studies approved by the companies were processed into the corporate identity elements requested by the companies and corporate identity guides were created.
Then, the second phase of the project, the “Brand Consultancy” process, started and the “Brand Registration Preliminary Research Report” was prepared for the approved brand studies.
On 06.08.2020, all companies and Zile TSO officials attended the Information Meeting held at the Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry Meeting Hall. After the meeting; meetings were held with company officials regarding additional class requests and problematic brand registrations, and revisions were made to the brands of 3 companies that were likely to be rejected/objected. Then; a second preliminary research report was prepared regarding both the brands that were revised and the brands with additional class requests.
On 14.08.2020; Another training activity was carried out with the support of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. The subject of the training, which was carried out online, was determined as "Trademark Registration and the Effect of Registered Trademarks on Consumer Purchasing Behavior".
In the last week of the project, a third report was prepared for all trademarks for which pre-registration trademark and class selections were completed, and trademark applications were made.
Following the completion of trademark registration applications, companies were asked to evaluate the project activities. The digital survey sent via Google Forms was filled out by all project participants; the activities were evaluated as “VERY GOOD” by 91.1% of the participants and “GOOD” by 8.75%.
With the protocol signed on 07.03.2015, it was planned to build the “Zile Nursing College” affiliated with Ankara Bilge University High Specialization Hospital in our district. While the tender process preparations were ongoing, the amendment made to the Regulation on Higher Education Institutions included the phrase “Vocational colleges cannot be moved outside the campus areas”. For this reason, it was definite that the planned school could not be built. The School Project was revised; it was planned to demolish the “Sakarya High School”, which had been in service in our district for many years and was now inactive, and to build a 12-classroom Anatolian High School with technological facilities in its place.
With the protocol revised on 24.10.2016, the necessary bureaucratic and tender processes were completed. The project, which continues under the leadership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and our Governorship, is expected to become operational in the 2018-2019 academic year.
On this occasion, we would like to thank our Union and our Governorship once again.
Investment Amount: 1,350,000.00 TL
Hankeri Giray Han Mansion, a historical and registered mansion that best reflects the plan type of Traditional Zile Houses, located in our district's 175 Block, 1 Parcel numbered Ali Kadı Neighborhood, Turhal Street address, on an area of 492.25 m2, was donated to Zile Municipality on the condition that it would be restored by its owner. With various resources received during the restoration works that started in 2012; the reinforcement of the carrier systems, roof and foundation was carried out.
With the protocol signed between Zile Municipality and Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry in January 2016, Hankeri Giray Han Mansion was rented for 10 years.
The mansion belongs to Hankeri Giray Khan, one of the last Crimean Khans to come to Turkey after escaping from Stalin's tyranny. The mansion has the characteristics of a true lord's mansion with its garden, specially brought water and fountain for the mansion, guest rooms, vineyard roof, lord's room, built-in balcony, parsu and stoves made of sweet lime, cellar, groom and butler rooms. If this mansion is built and completed, it is planned to be used as the office of the Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In this way, the unfinished restoration work of the mansion will be completed and a prestigious place will be created for the Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and the expenses to be made for the purchase of a new building will be used to protect our tangible cultural heritage and thus be used for city tourism.
Zile is a member of the Historical Cities Union and is one of the districts with the richest street and neighborhood texture in Turkey. There are 3600 traditional Turkish houses in Zile. The neighborhoods where these houses are located are protected by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Restoring and renewing these structures is also very important for highlighting the tangible and cultural heritage that Zile has.
In addition, the restoration of this mansion, which has not lost its historical texture, is also very important in terms of passing these architectural and historical works to future generations.
For these purposes, with our Board of Directors decision numbered 164 dated 21.07.2016, it was decided to submit a project to the Tokat Governorship Protection Implementation and Inspection Directorate. The project submitted on 29.06.2016 was found suitable for support and with the protocol signed between the parties on 08.08.2016, it was decided to provide a grant support of 200,000 TL for the mansion restoration. The relevant grant support was transferred on 24.05.2017.
We would like to thank Tokat Governorate and Zile Municipality once again for their support throughout this process.

Tokat is located in the TR83 Region of the Black Sea Region. The resident population of Tokat city, which is 602,662 (2016), has increased by 1.46% compared to the previous year. The majority of the population is engaged in agriculture. In the Tokat region, an area of 370,446 km2, corresponding to 37% of the urban land, is used for agriculture. In addition, 39% of the urban land is forested and green areas. These areas provide various raw materials for the food products and beverage industry. The weather conditions are suitable for various products to be grown except citrus fruits. Tokat, thanks to its geographical location, cultivated lands and weather conditions, food products are gaining importance in the manufacturing industry. In addition to the production in the center of Tokat, it has 5 districts with high economic power that have the potential to further develop the agricultural and food products industry. It is an active city with Organized Industrial Sites located in Tokat, Turhal, Niksar, Erbaa and Zile, together with the center and districts of Tokat, as well as five Chambers of Commerce and Industry and two Commodity Exchanges.
SWOT analyses conducted by different institutes such as the Central Black Sea Development Agency to understand the opportunities and threats of the city and the region reveal that the competitiveness of the region is based on the agricultural and food products manufacturing industry.
Despite this potential in the agricultural and food industry, there are some problems that prevent these sectors from being more innovative and competitive in national and international markets. According to the needs analysis results, first of all, existing companies experience problems in production quantity and quality due to the difficulties they encounter in accessing raw materials. Secondly, these companies face problems such as lack of resources in financial, qualified human and administrative areas. In particular, access to qualified personnel is quite limited in the region. However, companies have limited capacity to invest in high-tech machinery and equipment. Therefore, they do not have the possibility to continuously invest in research and development (R&D) studies. Thirdly, these companies also face problems when it comes to testing and analyzing their products before launching them on the market. According to the interviews, companies state that this issue creates significant costs. For example, when they produce organic products, they have a great problem in finding a place that tests the products to determine whether this product is suitable for sale in the market with organic product standards. The same problem is also seen in packaging options. Our companies are lacking in testing whether the packaging material and type are in compliance with health and safety rules and in making new designs that can extend shelf life. Another obstacle that limits the development of this industry is the problems experienced in marketing channels. These problems make it difficult for SMEs in the food products and beverage manufacturing industry to be more innovative and competitive.
In this context, Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of the leading district chambers in the agriculture and food industry in the region, Erbaa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Gaziosmanpaşa University, applied to the European Union-supported IPA II program opened under the Competitive Sectors in order to establish an accredited laboratory within the university. The laboratory to be established within this scope will work actively with 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 5 assistant professors and 5 research assistants in coordination with the Faculty of Food Engineering and Agriculture. Later, it is planned that this center will continue its work actively with 36 professors, 9 assistant professors and 23 assistant professors. The establishment of a center with this capacity will be a very important move for the agricultural activities and food products industry of the region. This center to be established with this project also plans to provide training and workshops to increase the commercial development activities of the currently established and newly established SMEs such as finance, logistics and entrepreneurship.
The project was prepared by Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zile Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, District National Education Directorate and Zile Education Support Association.
Our project aims to train the qualified human resources needed by SMEs. Seeing these issues on-site in an industrial giant like Germany will positively improve the participants’ competencies. The German Vocational Training System is largely based on the unity of education and the business world. For this reason, it is often referred to as the “Dual System”. Vocational training in Germany is one of the public services provided by professional chambers. In this sense, chambers and the companies they represent are indispensable to the system.
A total of 20 people, including 6 people from Zile Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 6 people from the planned SMEs, 7 people from Zile Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 3 people from the District National Education Directorate and 3 people from Zile Education Support Association, will participate in technical tours and training activities in the Rhine-Westphalia state, known as the Industrial Region of Germany, for 2 weeks.
Participants will be given an internationally valid Europass certificate detailing the training and technical trips.
